Meet Pietro Peligra, Chairman at Portobello SpA, CEO, Rolling Stone Italia, and CEO, RS Productions, who was recently part of the Master AI Trainer Workshop conducted by Mr Berlia.
In an email interview, Peligra, who has a degree in Engineering, a master’s in Marketing, MBA at Harvard Business School. Member of YPO (Italy Chapter), talks about his motivation for enrolling for this master workshop.
An entrepreneur with a diverse background in TLC, apparel, and luxury goods, now active in retail and media, shares his insights on the transformative potential of AI in content production and distribution. Learn how his participation in a specialized AI workshop has equipped him to integrate AI into his business strategies effectively.
My career has been a dynamic blend of entrepreneurship and creativity, especially in the media and content production sector. I graduated in Electronic Engineering with a focus on Telecommunications, followed by a Master’s in Marketing and an MBA from Harvard Business School and, in my last ventures, I honed my skills in navigating the complex world of media, understanding the intricacies of content creation, audience engagement, and digital media strategies. My interest in AI emerged from recognizing its potential to revolutionize content production and distribution. AI’s capabilities in analyzing viewer preferences, automating content curation, and enhancing user experiences fascinated me. This intersection of technology and creativity is where my passion for AI was ignited. It offered a new perspective on how AI could be integrated into media strategies to drive innovation and efficiency.
My decision to enroll in the Master AI workshop was driven by a desire to explore AI’s potential in content generation and optimization. I am an entrepreneur in the media and content production industry, so I witnessed firsthand the challenges and opportunities in content creation. AI, with its capabilities to analyze vast data sets and generate insights, presented a compelling solution for personalized content creation, audience targeting, and optimizing engagement strategies. The workshop was an opportunity to deepen my understanding of these AI tools and technologies, equipping me to integrate them innovatively into business processes.
The Master AI workshop was an invaluable experience, particularly in understanding AI’s role in content creation. My five key takeaways were:
To stay abreast of the rapidly evolving AI field, I adopt a hands-on approach, emphasizing testing and learning from real-world applications. This involves experimenting with new AI tools and techniques within content production and business process optimization, analyzing their outcomes, and iterating based on these insights. I also participate in user forums and online communities where practical experiences and challenges are shared. For learners wanting to stay current, I recommend engaging in continuous experimentation with AI technologies. Building projects, even small-scale ones, offers invaluable learning opportunities. Additionally, attending industry workshops and seminars, and engaging in online courses with practical components can be immensely beneficial. This approach of ‘learning by doing’ ensures a deep, experiential understanding of AI’s capabilities and limitations.
For an effective AI training curriculum, I recommend a strong focus on experiential learning and testing. This involves integrating real-world projects and problem-solving exercises into the curriculum, encouraging students to apply AI concepts practically. The curriculum should emphasize iterative learning, where students continually refine their AI models based on testing outcomes. Including case studies and collaborative exercises will help students understand the practical implications and challenges of AI in various industries. A feedback-oriented approach is essential to ensure continuous improvement and adaptation in the learning process. This hands-on, experience-driven methodology is key to fostering a deep understanding of AI and its real-world applications.
